These are the terms between you and Trustinqa, Lda for the use of FastQA. Using the service means you accept them.

What FastQA does

FastQA fetches web pages you nominate, runs the checks you have written against them on a schedule you choose, records whether each check passed or failed, and can tell you when something changes. It can publish what it recorded on a status page you control.

Every verdict is pass or fail, with the evidence it was based on. FastQA reports what it observed; it does not repair anything and it does not guarantee that what it observed is the whole picture.

Your account

You need an account to use FastQA. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account, and for anyone you invite into your team. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think somebody else has got in.

What you may point it at

You may only ask FastQA to fetch pages you own or are authorised to test. Checks are requests to somebody's server, and pointing them at a site you have no right to test is not something this service is for.

You agree not to use FastQA to attack, overload or probe systems without permission, to break the law, or to work around the limits of your plan. We set a minimum interval between scheduled checks because a schedule shorter than a check takes to run is not a schedule.

Anything you write — checks, page addresses, status-page text — stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run and display it for you.

Plans and payment

The Free plan costs nothing and has lower limits. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, which handles the payment; we never see your card. Prices are shown before you subscribe and include any tax that applies.

A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and it runs to the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not refund part of a period unless the law requires it or we have got something wrong. If a payment fails we may pause the paid features until it succeeds — your data stays where it is while that happens.

If we change a price we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will run the service with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure — saying otherwise would be a promise we have not built the redundancy to keep. FastQA runs from infrastructure we operate ourselves, and it can be down.

Two things follow that are worth stating plainly rather than burying:

• A missed alert is possible. If FastQA is down, or your mail provider rejects our message, you may not be told that your site is failing. FastQA is a useful check on your site; it is not a guarantee that you will always hear.
• A failing check is not proof your site is broken, and a passing one is not proof it is fine. It is what we saw when we asked.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or revenue, or for loss of data other than the data we hold for you. Where we are liable, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

If you use FastQA as a consumer rather than for business, your statutory rights under Portuguese and EU consumer law are unaffected by anything above.

Ending it

You may stop using FastQA at any time. To have your account deleted, write to [email protected] — there is no self-service delete button yet, and we would rather say so than point you at one that does not exist. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to attack or test systems without permission, or that has not paid. Where it is reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

When an account is closed we delete its data; encrypted backups made beforehand age out within 14 days. Export anything you want to keep before you close it.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use FastQA after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel.

Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country you live in.
